The art of dressing begins with the act of dressing — a ritual familiar to every woman regardless of her style. This season, Victoria Beckham continues her exploration of the wardrobe, observing the physical relationship between garment and body, the intimacy of clothing. Trousers are slashed open across the front, creating windows to the skin while resin-glazed fabrics are moulded to the body, celebrating the naked form in real and illusory states of undress. Echoing the collection’s leitmotif of interior elements, the collection’s palette is informed by the colours of the Jean-Michel Basquiat that graces the walls of Victoria Beckham’s own home.

Worn by model Gigi Hadid and made available immediately after the show, the Draped Pleat Detail Midi Dress in Algae Green breathes new life into one of the house’s signature silhouettes. Universally flattering thanks to it bias cut and draped lines, this runway exclusive is designed to highlight the female form, its tuck detailing eroticising the movement of the fabric against the wearer's body.

Known for its lavish parties, the Château de Bagatelle’s notoriety began when the Count of Artois, brother of Louis XVI, acquired the estate in 1775 and wagered a bet with his sister-in-law, Marie-Antoinette — that he could rebuild the château in two months. Completed in just 64 days with the help of over 900 workers, the pavillon de plaisance was decorated by prestigious artisans including Hubert Robert who painted six landscapes for one of the two boudoirs on the ground floor. Today, it remains a neo-classical jewel of 18th-century architecture and a highlight of Paris’ cultural heritage.

Friends of the House were welcomed under a starry canopy in the heart of Paris’, Parc de Bagatelle. After the show, a cocktail was held in the château’s sumptuous grounds to celebrate the launch of Victoria Beckham’s fourth fragrance, 21:50 Rêverie.
